Hem: most gowns require hem work. This is the most important alteration to your gown, as you don't want to fall on your dress because of a badly hemmed gown. How your gown is hemmed depends on the gown style, choice of shoes, and overall appearance.
Bustle: the bustle not only helps preserve the life of your train, but also gives you a chance to make a fashion statement. There are many options to choose from (French, one-point, three-point, Austrian, etc.) and we help you choose the bustle that best suits your dress.
Resizing: sometimes the gown of your dreams is too big or too small. Just because a dress doesn't fit properly doesn't mean it's time to give up on it. We've taken a size 2 gown and turned it into a size 10 and vice-versa. We don't let a thing like dress size get in the way.
Add/Remove Straps or Sleeves: Don't like your gown's straps? We can often get rid of them as if they were never there. Sometimes your gown doesn't match your religious customs, but all it takes is a few alterations to make it work. We can add straps or removable sleeves, or we can also make you a bolero jacket.
Resizing: It is unfortunate, but a lot of bridal stores order bridesmaid dresses two sizes to big; they must think bigger is better. We also get a lot of clients who ordered the dresses online without trying them on. Don't worry, we can help you with that.
Custom Dresses: sometimes a store-bought dress just won't do. Other times, a family fabric pattern or a creative maid of honor dictate the custom-made approach. If you choose to go this route, be sure to allow for extra time and make an appointment as early as possible.
Restyling: although bridesmaid dresses are generally not very ornate, sometimes a little jazzing up can make the bride shine even more. We've added belts, sparkle, or trim to complement the bride's vision or theme.
Do I need an appointment?

What do I bring to my first appointment?
You should bring your dress and any undergarments that may affect the design or wear of your dress. Also, be sure to bring your shoes --or shoes of similar size you'll be wearing with your dress. Finally, bring fabric or accessories, if they'll be needed for the alterations.
When should I make my first appointment?
In general, you should make your first appointment at least 4 weeks before the wedding. More time is recommended for custom-made dresses and restoration jobs. In general, the earlier, the better.
I'm planning on losing/gaining weight. When should I make my first appointment?
A lot of people wait until the last minute to make an appointment and this just increases the alteration costs, not the other way around. It's better to make an appointment as early as possible and discuss possible weight changes with us so we can adjust plans accordingly.
