  • Measuring Guide

The below is just a guide. We recommend that whenever possible you get a qualified seamstress to measure your dress size. The good news is that after placing your order, there is still time to make up your mind. Please refer to our cancellation policy below for details.

    Our Cancellations Policy

    - Orders canceled within 24 hours of payment confirmation* will be eligible for a full refund.

    - Orders canceled 1-3 days after payment confirmation will be eligible for a partial refund consisting of the full shipping cost and 50% of the product purchase price.

    Returning For Replacement or Refund

Your satisfaction is of utmost importance to us. Upon the arrival of your package, we encourage you to check and make sure that the dress has been made to your order specifications. Try on your dress as soon as possible without removing the tags, altering, or washing the dress.

If you are returning or exchanging dresses or accessories, please make sure they are in their original condition - unworn, unwashed, unaltered, undamaged, clean, free of lint and hair and with tags intact and attached.

    Defective, Damaged or Misshipped Items

You are eligible for a refund of the full purchase price plus shipping costs for defective, damaged or mis-shipped items. If you believe your items were damaged during delivery, you must first obtain "Proof of Damage" documentation from your delivery carrier.

    Sizing or Fitting Issues

As all of our dresses are hand-sewn and custom tailored, the finished gown may vary by approximately one (1) inch in either direction of the specified measurements. To ensure that your dress will still fit you perfectly, our tailors have created all our dresses with additional fabric in the seams to allow minor size modifications to be made easily.

Dress is not the size you ordered

Should your dress size differ from the specifications of your order by more than one inch, we encourage you to find a local tailor to make adjustments, and we will gladly reimburse you for up to 100% of the product price in tailoring costs. If you choose this option, please remember to request a receipt from your tailor as a copy of it must be provided when requesting reimbursement.

Dress is the size you ordered but does not fit

Dresses that do not fit properly but fit the specifications you ordered cannot be returned or exchanged.

As our dresses are made with additional fabric in the seams, you can make minor adjustments at a local tailor, at your own cost.

Please note: if your order specifications differ too greatly from the final sizing request, resizing may not be possible.

    Color Mismatch

The settings of your computer screen may alter the color of the pictures shown on RZdressworld.com. Slight color mismatches between the color of your dress and the color shown on screen may not mean that the dress is defective or misshipped. However, if you are confident that you have received the item in a wrong color, please contact Customer Service to see if a return or refund is possible.

    Overdue Products

If for any reason, your order was not shipped within the time stated and arrives late, but not by more than 10 days, you will be eligible for a complete refund, or a 30% reimbursement upon the delivery of the overdue product. If the product is overdue by more than 10 days, customers are eligible for a full refund. If the dress is not returned, only the shipping fee is paid by customers.

    1. How far in advance should I order my dress?^Top
Timing is important when ordering the perfect dress, and we take that as seriously as you do. We advise ordering a minimum of 8 weeks before you need to wear the dress if ordering a wedding dress and a minimum of 5 weeks before you need to wear your wedding party dress and special occasion dresses.

Why so long? We make dresses to order from scratch so they may take longer to arrive than you’re used to with other online sellers. The tailoring period for wedding dresses is 25-28 working days and for wedding party dresses it takes 15-18 working days, plus a shipping time of 3-8 working days (exact shipping times depend on the carrier and shipping method chosen at Checkout).

The best way to ensure a stress-free shopping experience is to allow plenty of time for our tailoring and shipping periods, plus additional time to try on the dress and make any necessary alterations once it arrives.

    2. Can I return or cancel the dress if I change my mind?^Top

Our dresses aren’t just pulled from a warehouse - once your order is confirmed, our tailors begin selecting materials in the color you requested and cutting fabric based on your measurements. Even standard size dresses are made to order for each customer. The custom nature of our dresses means our cancellation and return policy is stricter than for other items, so it’s important to order carefully. For full details, see our Return and Cancelation Policy.

    3. Can I order this dress in a different style/fabric/length?^Top
Each dress is carefully tailored to match exactly what you see in the photos, and unfortunately we are unable to modify the style, length or material in any way. If you haven’t found exactly what you’re looking for yet, the “Narrow by” search function on the left-hand side of each dress category’s main page can help you find the perfect combination.

    4. Do you have photos of other customers wearing the dress?^Top
We only have photos of our models wearing the dress, but sometimes customers post photos of themselves in the dress on the product page. You can also post a request for photos and your email on the page, in case others who have bought the dress want to reply with pictures.

    5. How can I make sure I’m ordering the right size?^Top
When ordering a dress for your special occasion online, you’re right to pay close attention to getting the size right! Since we’re an international company, our clothing may run larger or smaller than the standard sizes you’re used to. Checking the actual measurements in our size chart and comparing them to your own measurements before placing your order is the best way to avoid size errors.
If you’re ordering a custom-sized dress, it’s especially important to get your measurements exactly right. Getting professionally measured is the most reliable way to ensure the final product reaches you perfectly tailored. Be sure to check out our measuring guide .
If your size fluctuates or you want to modify the dress slightly, we always leave a few inches in the seams so that your local tailor can easily make alterations as needed. If you have any other questions about ordering the right size, don’t hesitate to contact us.

    6. Can you customize the size of my dress?^Top
Absolutely –if our standard sizes don't work for you, we can make you a custom-sized dress for an extra charge of just £29.99. When ordering, you’ll need to check the box for “Custom size” to the right of the dress’s drop-down size menu and tell us your measurements in inches. Getting professionally measured is best, but if you want to do it yourself be sure to read our measuring guide first. Avoid common mistakes by doing the following:
Ask someone else to measure for you
Take measurements while wearing undergarments similar to what you’ll wear with the dress
Provide a bust measurement from the fullest part of your chest, not your bra size!
    Give your measurements in inches
Measure hollow to floorwhile wearing shoes of the same height you’ll wear with the dress

    7. Will I be able to alter my dress if I receive it and it doesn’t fit exactly right?^Top
Yes. If your size fluctuates or you want to modify the dress slightly, we always leave a few inches in the seams so that your local tailor can easily make alterations as needed. Dresses generally have a margin of 1 inches on either side of a seam. Flower detailing, beading or belts/ribbons may limit ability to let a dress out.

    8. How do you measure length for mini, knee-length and tea-length skirts if you only collect a hollow to the floor measurement?^Top
We use the hollow to the floor measurement to determine where the knee is and then cut the correct length according to the dress design.

    9. If I want to wear high heels with the dress, should I add the length of my heel to my hollow to the floor measurement? ^Top
Yes, our tailor will cut the dress length exactly according to the hollow to the floor measurement you provide. If you'd like the dress longer to better fit a high heel, just add the length you need on to your hollow to the floor measurement.

    10. Will my dress exactly match the color I see on your website?^Top
There might be a slight difference between the actual dress’s color and what you see in the photo depending on your computer monitor’s display settings.

    11. What kind of fabric do you use on the dresses?^Top
Each dress is made of one or a combination of the following beautiful, high-quality fabrics:
Chiffon: delicate, sheer, and transparent material made from silk or rayon; its soft finish is often layered because of its transparency, making it popular for overskirts, sheer sleeves, and wraps
Organza: crisp and sheer like chiffon, but with a stiffer texture reminiscent of tulle but more flowing; popular for skirts, sleeves, backs, and overlays
Satin: heavy and smooth with a high sheen on the front; very commonly used for bridal gowns
Silk-Like Satin: smooth, silky satin with a glossy front and matte back
Matte Satin: soft, subtle shine and a smooth surface; similar to silk-like satin but less prone to wrinkles
Taffeta: a crisp, smooth high-end fabric with a slight rib
Tulle: netting made of silk, nylon, or rayon that is used primarily for skirts and veils (think ballerina tutus)

    12. How can I be sure what the fabric will look like in person?^Top
Checking at our Color Chart and photos should give you a very good idea what the dress, color and fabric will look like. If you’d like to be even more confident, try ordering samples from our site just keep in mind the extra weeks needed to receive your fabric samples when timing your order.
